Old country cemeteries

While Catholics generally have the habit of placing their cemeteries behind the churches, this rule is often not respected among Anglicans who put their cemetery at the corner of a country road or in the middle of a pasture.

Fort Rodney

Okay, Fort Rodney is more a tourist place than abandoned, conducive to exploration. Besides, I wasn't sure about these photos on this website. Well, they are published, but I'm still not convinced to keep them all on Urbex Playground.

Not that I hate them, but they qualify more in the category "travel photos" that rurex. But hey, ruins are ruins and they are a significant portion of the history of the island of St. Lucia.

Abandoned bridges and other structures over the rivers

In Quebec, we have built more than 1000 during the last century, but we count today only 88 of them. Covered bridges, a real relic of a time resolved, are unfortunately ill-suited to our modern life. Originally, they were appreciated for various reasons. First, they were built with an abundant resource, wood, and most allowed their owners to charge few bucks to those who wanted to borrow it.
