Closed in 1981, this abandoned maternity is located in Kneževo in Croatia, near the border of Hungary and only few kilometers away from Serbia.
The village is composed of approximately 960 inhabitants and is located in the county of Osijek-Baranja. Opened in the 1960s, the establishment served as an "outpost" in the south of the county. Before, the maternity was, at the end of the thirties in a beautiful castle named Belje Directorate.
Following mergers and regrouping of services, the Kneževo hospital center closes in the early 1980s. Since then, the building is left to itself, unused and collapsing under the ravages of time.

Of its contents, Urbex Playground wishes to preserve the memory of these abandoned, destroyed or dilapidated places who have made the glory of our fathers and which today we have, alas, not enough compassion.

We do not pretend to believe that our pictures will change anything in the future of these churches, factories, homes and other abandoned buildings. We're just passionate about the image in the perpetual quest for new photographic challenges.
